Dancing for our Stars gives local celebrities a chance to slip on a pair of dancing shoes and put themselves in the shoes of a student with learning disabilities.
This is an event that is brought to life by Bridgeway Academy, a school for students with learning disabilities based in Nova Scotia, Canada. The event raises money and awareness of learning disabilities in high school students.
The event revolves around high profile individuals who have to learn to dance in a particular style and then battle it out on the dance floor. The general public are encouraged to sponsor a dancer of their choice, and the one who raises the most money, wins!
We captured the energy of this friendly competition in a 'scramble' for the coveted prize, a disco ball.
