The Writing Centre at Saint Mary's University, Nova Scotia, provides free, academic support for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. They offer in-person, one-on-one tutoring, as well as workshops, in-class presentations, and online support.
Afficio is an undergraduate journal published by The Writing Centre. We were asked to explore some logotype concepts that communicated, 'working with the written word'.
The concepts explored included 'cursive handwriting' typed on computer, 'playing with alphabets' in an attempt to communicate 'constructing words', creating a 'pencil' in alphabets, to a cut section of a pencil that encompassed the words 'afficio'.
